Vietnam ranked 11th among the top 50 emerging logistics markets, thanks to the strong transformation of companies providing and using logistics services, according to a forum on Vietnam’s logistics transformation on Wednesday (October 19th).
The forum is organized in Ho Chi Minh City (South) by the magazine “Diên dàn Doanh nghiêp” (Business Forum) in collaboration with the Association of Logistics Companies of Vietnam (VLA), SEA Logistic Partners (SLP Vietnam) .
Specifically, the compound annual growth rate (CAGR) for the period 2022-2027 of the Vietnam logistics market is expected to reach 5.5%.
The country currently has 30,000 enterprises engaged in logistics, including more than 5,000 enterprises operating in international logistics, 69 large and medium-scale logistics centers, attracting investment in many fields.
The rise of new transportation, logistics and supply chain trends in the digital economy has helped Vietnam become a potential emerging market.
The explosive trend of e-commerce in Vietnam with platforms like Shopee, Lazada, Tiki… has become a great opportunity for companies to invest and develop logistics infrastructure.
In addition, e-logistics has promoted Vietnam’s logistics industry to improve its quality of services more professionally and efficiently.
However, in order to exploit the full potential of the logistics market, it is necessary to have a comprehensive policy in attracting investment, improving infrastructure, simplifying administrative procedures, as well as a harmonious legal framework.
